Fix:

• Try removing one Google account, if you’re using two accounts on the same device and clear the Play Store search history as well. Now try making the download again to see if the problem still persists.
• Try using an alternate Google account to download the applications, if it works, try adding the previous account again and reboot the device.
• It might also be due to bad proxy settings, try clearing or re-entering the proxy of your mobile data connection/WiFi from the settings.

• Open the “Settings” app.

• Select the “Clear data” button.

Error Code 495

This might imply an issue while downloading or even upgrading apps from the Play Store.

Fix:

Fix:

Fix:

Try deleting the cache of the Google Play Store application. Battery life is a major concern for Android smartphone users and the increased versatility of our devices have made the demand on them much more than it used to be a few years ago. After a while, you may notice a decrease in the battery performance of your device. It is normal to notice a slight drop in battery performance over time but if this deterioration happens drastically and you’re sure that the battery itself is not the problem, then re-calibrating your battery may help.

What is Calibration ?

So what exactly do we mean by calibrating your device battery? Well, Android has a built in battery stats indicator within the settings menu. This feature allows the OS to keep track of the current battery level on your device. Sometimes, if the battery isn’t calibrated, it may lead to wrong battery stats in your OS due to incorrect detection of battery level. How will it hurt, you might ask. Incorrect battery level detection may lead to your OS identifying that your battery is empty and shut down your device even when in reality it might have, say, 5% battery juice left. Is that convincing enough?

Now, there are two methods to get this done. The clumsier method is obviously for users without Root, and we’ll focus on that first.

Calibrate your battery on a non-rooted Android device

For non-rooted android devices, calibration is a manual and could be a bit cumbersome. There is no guarantee it will work and sometimes, it could actually harm your battery further. But if you are facing serious issues with your battery, you can decide to take the risk.

Just follow the steps:

• Let your phone discharge until it goes off due to low battery.
• Charge your battery until it reads 100%. Do not turn on your device while charging!
• Unplug your charger and turn your phone on.
• Leave it lying for 30 minutes then charge it again for an hour. Don’t use your device while it is plugged in.
• Unplug your device and use normally until the battery is completely drained again.
• Then charge it to 100% again.
• What this procedure achieves is to rest the batterystats file so your battery should now be calibrated.

Calibrate Android device battery on Rooted Android Device

Even though I'm not convinced that clearing the batterystats.bin file has any meaningful effect on how the Android system reports remaining battery charge, there are those who swear by this method. So in the interests of fairness we've included the process for you here (it is true that different manufacturers use the batterystats.bin file for different things). It's basically the same process as above but with the added step of a root-enabled app.

Follow the steps:

• Discharge your phone fully until it turns itself off.
• Turn it on and let it discharge and turn off again.
• Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent.
• Unplug your charger.
• Turn your phone on. The battery indicator will likely not say 100 percent, so plug it in (leave your phone on) and continue charging until it says 100 percent on the screen as well.
• Unplug your phone and restart it. If it doesn't say 100 percent, plug the charger back in until it says 100 percent on screen.
• You want to repeat this cycle until it says 100 percent (or as close as you think it's going to get) when you start it up without being plugged in .
• Now, install the Battery Calibration app and, before launching it, make sure your battery is at 100 percent again, then restart.

• If dampening a cloth, it is best to use distilled water or a cleaner specifically designed for cleaning touch screens.

• Brush again with the microfiber cloth to finish off. Don't over-rub though! And if there is any dampness left, just leave it to air dry.

• Do not put too much pressure on the screen when cleaning it.

Quadrant Standard Edition tests CPU, I/O, and 3D graphics. After running through the tests, you're required to submit the score to the company's servers in order to see the results. The bar chart shows your overall score and compares it with other devices.

This benchmark app for Android is my personal favorite too because it comes in a relatively small package. I usually go to a smartphone/tablet store and install this app on the device before purchasing. This allows me to know exactly how the app will scale to my previous device.

AnTuTu Benchmark has proven itself worthy of being the number one free app by thoroughly testing a whole device. Want to test the CPU? Any other Android benchmark app can accomplish that, but if you want to measure RAM, GPU and I/O (Input Output) performances on a single app, this is the app made for that.

Neocore is an OpenGL-ES 1.1 graphics performance benchmark app for Android devices. It shows some techniques which can help to accelerate the performance of an Android device. Turn Of Auto Image & Video Download

If you are using a limited data plan then this trick will help you to save your data by simply turning off auto download of images and videos.
Just like me if you are a member of many groups and receiving many images and videos daily in groups then it can eat your mobile data very quickly! so why don’t we download things which we actually want to download? for this you need to turn off the auto download option in Whatsapp setting.

To turn off auto download navigate to WhatsApp settings > Chat setting > media auto download and there change setting of auto download as per your requirement.

Stop Images Showing in Camera Roll

You probably don't want all the images from WhatsApp to appear in your Camera Roll on iOS, or in your Gallery or Photos app on Android.

It's easy to sort on iOS, just go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and toggle WhatsApp off.

On Android, use a file manager like ES File Explorer, and go to sdcard/WhatsApp/Media,then tap New at the bottom left in any folder you don't want shared, and create a file called .nomedia.

Your images won't pop up in the gallery anymore. Woohoo!

Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge packs everything that’s great about the flagship Galaxy S6 into an even more desirable body. But the curved display isn’t just about an eye-catching aesthetic, it can also be used in a variety of clever ways. We’ve got a range of Galaxy S6 Edge tips that will help you get to grips with the basics, and uncover a few interesting features that you may not yet have mastered.

Set a primary side for the Edge Display

Before we get into the hardcore tips you want to pick a side for the Edge display. Whichever side you pick is where all the cool tricks will appear. It can be on either the left or right side, but not both.

• Go to Settings > Edge screen
• Scroll down to Edge screen position
• Choose your Edge screen side

Go to Settings > Edge Screen > Select Notifications and check the boxes next to those notification types that you'd like to see appear in your People Edge notifications.

How to set up Information Stream

Information Stream gives you little tidbits of information that you can access by swiping across the edge of the display when the screen is turned off. In order to set up and customize this feature, you’ll need to go to Settings, then select Edge screen. Once you select Information stream, you can set up which feeds you’d like the edge screen to show such as Twitter notifications, Yahoo News, sports scores and even your missed calls. If the stock feeds aren’t interesting enough, you can download additional feeds by selecting the Download feeds option in the Manage feeds menu. On the top of each feed in the Manage feeds section, just select whichever ones you’d like to show on your edge screen.

You can even choose the duration for which the edge screen will stay lit, by selecting Edge screen timeout in the Information stream menu.

Show a night clock on the Edge screen at night

One cool thing you might not know about the Edge display is that it’s possible to use it as a night clock! The time will display in low illumination at night, and thanks to the AMOLED display’s ability to turn on only the pixels it needs it sips next to nothing from the battery.

The only problem is you’ll need to enable this feature as it’s not enabled by default, though that’s no big task. Venture to Settings > Edge screen > Night clock and make sure the setting is set to “On.” From there, you can use the controls to specify a block of time when the night clock is enabled, up to a maximum of 12 hours.

Add a live wallpaper to one or both of your edge

Add a little pizzazz to your home screen with a cool animation along the edges. Just download the S6 Edge HD Live Wallpaper app from Google Play to get started. Once installed, open the app and pick the type of animation, background color, speed, type of motion, and whether you want it to appear on the left, right, or both edges. Then tap on Go, and the wallpaper will be enabled. Your selected animation will appear on all home screens, including the lock screen. Just open the app again to make any changes. Then tap on Go, and the wallpaper will be enabled. Your selected animation will appear on all home screens, including the lock screen. Just open the app again to make any changes. The only negative is that it will replace your entire wallpaper, but you can choose what color you want it to be. It’s still a cool way to show off your edginess.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note series of Huge-sized smartphones is one of the most popular and loved Android phones on the market. The Note 5 is the latest edition in the series, and it continues to bring amazing power and functionality in a brand new design made of premium materials. Plenty of people will be new to the device and all its features, that’s why we created this series of articles for the Note 5 to show you how to use both some of the basic functions, as well as a ton of cool new features.

One of the most common questions people ask when they get a new phone is “how do I take a screenshot?” There are two ways to do it with most Samsung devices.

• Press and hold the Home and Power buttons simultaneously
• Swipe your palm across the entire display to take a screenshot (enable this Settings > Motions and gestures)
• In the “Gestures & S Pen” section there is a way to screenshot long pages

Once a screenshot is taken you will see it in your notification bar. From there you can share or edit it to your hearts content.

Camera Settings

The Note 5 has a pretty great camera, and while you can simply press the home button twice and start taking photos, there's a good group of settings that are worth looking at before you take too many shots. Open up your camera and press the settings icon (looks like a gear) to find some of them. Important settings to check out are grid lines, location tags and quick launch (which is on by default). Back in the main camera interface, you'll find more common settings, like picture size, flash and HDR in the sidebar. We recommend turning HDR to "auto" and leaving the flash off.

On the video side of things, the Note 5 is capable of 4K video but is set to 1080p by default in the settings menu. This is done because most of the extra features are disabled when shooting in 4K. If you want to keep HDR video, video effects, software stabilization, pictures while taking video and tracking autofocus, leave the phone in 1080p recording.

Once you have the camera settings tweaked just how you like them, you can know that the next time you quickly launch the camera you'll be taking just the right photo or video.

Improved S Pen

The S Pen that accompanies the Galaxy Note has learned a few new tricks, most significantly the ability to start jotting down notes without even unlocking the Note 5. Samsung calls this feature the Screen-Off Memo mode; all you have to do is eject the stylus by pressing its top, and you can start writing out notes that are automatically added to the S Note app when you save them. Screen-Off Memo is certainly the highlight of the S Pen, which has been designed to feel more like an actual pen, but it’s not the only new capability. Other features include the ability to immediately sign PDFs and easier access to the Galaxy Note’s Air Command menu.

Synching, security & shopping

SideSync is a little-known feature of the Note5, which offers both wireless and wired PC-smartphone integration for a seamless connection of data across these devices.
On an unrelated note, Samsung’s latest features enhanced security features with out-of-the-box KNOX Active Protection and a customizable My KNOX app to further protect sensitive personal and professional data – addressing one of the main issues associated with Android.

Speaking of security, Galaxy Note5 is also ready for Samsung Pay – a safe, simple, and “virtually anywhere” mobile payment service that launched in Korea last week, and slated for debut in the U.S. in September. Protected by Samsung’s KNOX technology, as well as fingerprint verification and digital tokenization, Samsung Pay works with both MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) and NFC (Near Field Communication) technologies.

Use handwriting on the keyboard

One of the best uses for the S Pen is to write notes by hand. Some people just prefer the feeling of writing something out with a “pen.” You can even use handwriting in apps that don’t support it by using the Samsung keyboard.

• Go to Settings > Language and input
• Tap on Samsung keyboard
• Scroll all the way down and enable Pen detection

Now, the handwriting pad will be shown instead of the QWERTY keyboard when the S Pen is detected.
