Best RPG Games for Android Smartphones

Kritika: The White Knights

Kritika: The White Knights is a typical action RPG that full of violence and slaughter. The gameplay is kind of similar to Dark Avenger, but more simple. The graphic and skill effects follow the style of Gamevil games – refreshing and exquisite with some Anime style. In the game, you will enter a world called Kyrenia which was controlled by violence ruler Caleb. In order to overturn the tyranny, you should become an intrepid Berserkers, or agile Cat Acrobat, or other to fight against Caleb. The game provides 3 modes: Stage Mode allows players to train their characters by endless brawls, PvP modes provide the places for players to battle with others online and Monster Wave asks players to defeat various monsters in the limited time.

Soul Seeker

Soul Seeker is an action-rpg from developer Com2US. It definitely hits on specific points that make it an enjoyable action-rpg experience with exciting battles, item collection and item crafting, tons of worlds to explore with over 200 collectible and playable characters. This is one action-rpg worth a go.

MARVEL Future Fight

Future Fight is not only a game for die-hard Marvel fans, but one I would encourage all hack and slash fans to give a chance. While it may lack depth in certain areas, it's fun, looks great, and easy to pick up and play while having a bearable free to play model, not something I would say for most of Future Fight's competition.

Order & Chaos Online

For you MMORPG fans wondering if we would include something for you, your time has come. Order & Chaos Online is a masterpiece MMORPG on Android and definitely the one we’d recommend to anyone looking for an MMORPG adventure. The graphics are above average, the game play is pretty simple to learn, and people in the game are generally pretty friendly. In fact, while I was testing this game, someone randomly came up and saved my life from an enemy that someone at my level had no business fighting. As I say in the video, thank you again random online person!

Android and Windows are two very different operating systems; programs designed for one won’t normally work on the other. To get around this, you need to set up an Android virtual machine (VM) on your PC. And as a general rule, setting up a VM can be a challenge.

BlueStacks

BlueStacks is currently the best way to run Android apps on Windows. It doesn’t replace your entire operating system. Instead, it runs Android apps within a window on your Windows desktop. This allows you to use Android apps just like any other program. BlueStacks also includes support for easy installation of apps from Google Play, so the process is as seamless as possible. Even better, BlueStacks runs Android apps and games with surprisingly good performance.

This solution can’t replace Windows with Android, but that’s not a bad thing — competing solutions that allow you to dual boot Android with Windows are currently unstable. This is only a solution for running Android apps on Windows.  Unlike many of the other options here, this is a fairly stable and polished experience.

ARC Welder for Chrome

Probably the easiest way to get Android apps running on your Windows PC is to use Google’s ARC Welder Chrome extension (ARC stands for App Runtime for Chrome). Since this is a Chrome extension, it’s not only restricted to Windows PCs — you could also use this method on a Chromebook or Mac. The process is much the same no matter which platform you’re using Chrome on. Simply head to the Chrome Web Store and grab the ARC Welder extension to get everything you need installed.

ARC Welder is a beta tool, and it’s mainly directed at developers. Still, the process of loading an app is quite simple. You’ll need an APK to load into ARC Welder (known as sideloading), which you can get from backing up an app on your physical Android device, or you can download an APK from any number of places on the internet. We don’t recommend you download paid apps and games from shady websites, though. There are a few sites that archive legitimate free APKs, like APK Mirror.

Android-x86 on VirtualBox

This one requires a two-step process: First install VirtualBox, which lets you run a variety of operating systems inside Windows, and then run Android-x86 as a virtual machine inside it. That way, you can run the entire Android OS inside a virtual machine on Windows, or on a Mac or Linux, for that matter. Keep in mind that if you haven't used VirtualBox before, it requires a fair amount of fiddling and diddling before you get it right. But it's worth it. If you're feeling extremely brave, you can instead install Android-x86 directly on your Windows machine, but it's not something I'd want to try.

5. Plants vs. Zombies 2

Plants vs. Zombies is a venerable mobile franchise for a good reason. The bizarre premise of protecting your back lawn from hordes of undead with sunflowers and pea shooters (literally pea plants turned weapons) is certainly part of that, but there’s a lot of tactical thinking in terms of plant choices before the attack begins, and placement. In Plants vs. Zombies 2, you’re taken back in time to defend against zombies dressed in era garb, and try out all sorts of new mechanics. The zombies are getting smarter, and challenge your reaction speed in a number of ways, though you also have a whole new complement of plants to use. Stages also have new terrain features to keep every round fresh. Plant food can be collected to super-charge any plant when things get especially hairy.

All in all, Plants vs. Zombies 2 presents deep strategic gameplay in a fun, colorful package.

You’re probably using more mobile data than you need to. If you’re overpaying for an unlimited plan, by all means use as much as you possibly can. If you’ve realized that there’s a smarter way to do mobile though, then read on.

If you’re not interested in using your smartphone less, don’t sweat it! Often, all it takes is switching on a setting or scheduling a download to cut your monthly mobile data usage by half.

Our first six simple tips to save on mobile data post garnered a ton of helpful reader tips and feedback. So, we’re doing the redux!

Following is a list of popular Android apps that include options to reduce the amount of data sent across a mobile network. We also include a section on Google’s universal toggle for disabling mobile data, so if you’re only interested in one data saving tip today, make it this one!

Reduce Mobile Data Usage

1. Compress Chrome pages

Assuming you use Chrome for all your web traffic, this tip alone can save you 30-35 percent of your mobile browser data consumption. Compressing Chrome pages, now know as Data Saver in the settings, compresses web pages before loading them in your browser.

Using Data Saver does slow things down a tiny bit, but you quickly get used to it and a moment's delay is worth it when your data lasts so much longer. Just launch Chrome, tap the three dots in the top right hand corner, go down to Settings and then to Data Saver. Keep an eye on the graph every now and then to see your data savings grow.

2. Control the background data usage of your applications.

Many people are often surprised about apps consuming data even when they’re not actively being used. This is known as “background data usage”: it’s when applications download data in the background – often silently and automatically without input.

Background data is a useful feature for keeping information up-to-date without you manually needing to press a button (e.g. a weather application will always have the latest forecast and your phone book will always have the latest contacts).

Although background data is normally a useful feature, it can sometimes be unwanted (e.g. when rarely-used apps update themselves in the background and use up your precious allowance of data). For this reason, it can be highly worthwhile to disable background data for certain applications. On iPhone, you can do this through Settings > General > Background App Refresh. On Android, you can find the background data option by tapping an application in the Data Usage monitor.

3. Switch to a Lightweight Browser

While the default browser in Android gets better with each release, it still leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to minimizing data usage. Fortunately there are several alternatives that feature data compression and optimization to help reduce usage.

Chrome Beta: The newest optimized browser is actually a Google offering. The most recent offering of Chrome Beta features  a new experimental proxy service run by Google that promises to radically increase mobile browsing speeds while decreasing data loads. In order to turn on access to this new proxy system, you will need to enter the address chrome://flags in the address bar of Chrome Beta and enable the entry for Experimental Data Compression Proxy. The release and the feature are brand new so we haven’t had long to play with them, but so far the project looks promising. Expect the proxy feature and optimization to appear in the regular release of Chrome in the near future.

Opera Mini: Google may have finally got around to jumping on the optimized-mobile-browser band wagon but Opera has been working on it for years. Opera Mini is a lightning fast mobile browser powered by Opera’s optimization proxies. The fast user interface, fast browsing experience, and page optimization have made Opera Mini one of the most downloaded Android browsers around.

TextOnly: If you’re a hardcore reductionist, TextOnly is where it’s at. TextOnly offers you three approaches to the website browsing. You can browse the site’s RSS feed in browser, you can browse the page stripped down to just the text for a Gopher-like web browsing experience, or you can browse the page in its mobile-optimized format.  TextOnly isn’t exactly the most popular browser in the Play Store but don’t let that throw you off — it delivers on its promise of ultra-minimal data use.

4. Online gaming

Don't worry, Trivia Crack addicts, turn-based games like this and Words With Friends aren't heavy data-users. However, real-time action games like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5: Blackout are a different story, with some estimates pegging their data use at 1MB per minute of play.

5. Use WiFi At Home

Almost every smartphone or tablet that’s capable of cellular data also includes a Wi-Fi radio. You can use this to connect to a home wireless network just as you would connect a laptop or desktop PC, and once connected, cellular data won’t be used.

Both Android and iOS users can connect to a wireless network by opening the Settings menu, switching Wi-Fi on and then tapping the Wi-Fi entry to open a list of available networks. Just enter your home network’s security key and you’re done.

Users on iOS can further refine usage by going to Settings -> General -> Cellular. Scroll to the bottom of that menu and you’ll see the option to turn cellular data on or off for various services. Turning them all off will reduce data usage.

Before Installing a Custom ROM

Backup your Apps, Contacts

Don’t forget to wipe

Don’t just boot into recovery and install a custom ROM — your device will have a high chance of getting stuck in a boot loop. You need to first wipe the /data partition, which contains all your installed apps. You can do this in your custom recovery by using the wipe data/factory reset option or by going into Wipe and swiping the arrow at the bottom to the right.

Find A Good ROM

Unless you are on a geek, and change ROMs just for fun, play with them and just change it again. Then no need. Or if you rarely change your ROM. Then first of all you should make sure that the ROM is completely stable and has no bugs. Or else you would have to change it again. You could find it by reading the developer comments, with the ROM. You can find a number of stable and good roms, no matter what device you own.

Turn on the USB Debugging mode

USB debugging mode is a mode to facilitate a connection between an Android device and a computer with Android SDK. Before an app like One-click-root can dig into your system and grant the access to your device, USB debugging is necessary to allow that function in the first place.
That’s is why, whenever you want to perform such task, it is highly recommended that you turn on the USB Debugging mode from ‘Developer Options’ under Settings of your device.

On Android phones with Jelly Bean 4.2 and higher, the Developer Options are hidden by default and it can only be accessed by tapping 7 times on ‘Build Version’ from Settings -> About.

Kernel

Also while analyzing the ROM, you must also take care of the Kernel you are using. If you are using a Stock Kernel, make sure whether the ROM is compatible with the stock Kernel. Or in the case of a custom Kernel, you again have to make sure that the device would work with the custom ROM and the Custom Kernel. Of you do not do so, you might brick your device. Although you could recover from it, using the Download or the Fastboot mode, but still as it is said that prevention is better than cure.

2. RedLaser Barcode & QR Scanner

RedLaser is much more than just a barcode scanning app, it’s a way of shopping online (and off) smarter and getting the best deal that you can. Scanning a barcode is just the beginning here as this will search the internet for better deals than the price you probably have in front of you and while it perhaps isn’t the best feature comparison app out there, being able to scan a code is much easier. You can even look for nearby stores as well as just buying online, which is pretty handy as well.

3. Barcode Scanner

Barcode Scanner Android App is great! It allows you to scan most product bar codes in 1D (UPC, EAN, etc.) and 2D formats (QR Code) to search Google for product results. You can even search for words in a book when using this app.

The cool thing about scanning QR Codes is the wealth of information and many applicable uses in the tiny cryptic messages. QR Codes can store calendar events, contact information, email addresses, Geo location, phone numbers, SMS text messages, plain text, and URLs.

4. I-Nigma Barcode Scanner

I-nigma barcode scanner converts your phone's camera to the unique QR code scanner and its quick and accurate. It can scan QR, DataMatrix and UPC/EAN (a.k.a. "Supermarket") codes. It can also scan colored and creative codes. It can scan memory card barcodes, contacts barcodes and also scan location based map barcodes.

Allover its a good, fast and accurate app for scanning QR codes, It is rated average 4.4 star on Google play store.

5. QR Code Reader

QR Code Reader from Scan might not have the most original name out there, and it also doesn’t do anything others don’t, but it’s got an ace up its sleeve. It works great on tablets (which is pretty rare for these apps) and you can see a quick and simple history of your scans both on your device, your other device and on the web. Which is perfect for both you intrepid folk that scan every QR code you ever see as well as those of you that use QR Codes for business, which is a fair few of you, I am sure. A decent app that gets the job done, QR Code Reader is easy to use.

Thankfully, Android has a plethora of music player apps from various developers on the Google Play Store.

Right now, Android smartphones can be considered the world's most popular music players (since Android has been the dominant smartphone platform for years). Thus, it is no wonder that there's a myriad of music player apps for Android.

Amateur photography is a huge deal these days. There are people who make a living off of taking photos with their iPhone camera. Stock camera apps work pretty well most of the time and give you access to exclusive features on that phone (such as HTC Zoe or Samsung’s Drama Shot). However, sometimes you want something a little different or a little unique. That’s when you want to take a look at the best camera apps for Android and that’s what we’re going to do right now.

there is a bunch of application on the Google Play store to help you take your photos to the next level. MORE SETTINGS, MORE EFFECTS, MORE TWEAKS Even if your phone has a great camera app (we’re particularly fond of the HTC One M8's rich and intuitive camera interface), we encourage you to try some of these apps below that will still offer new settings and options.

We've picked out only the very best Android photography apps right below, but feel free to also share your favourites in the comments section.

Best 5 Android Camera Apps

1. U Camera (Ultra Camera)

And here comes the best camera app for the Android phones and its UCam or you can say Ultra Camera. This app will provide you the almost all exposure controls and the functions that you will need to take a photograph like a professional. You can shoot videos, take a panorama, can make a college, can set exposure values, can apply the various exposure presets much more things! The list of its features is very huge so I can't write here all the features of Ultra camera but all I can say is its the best Android camera app that I ever used.

2. Camera MX

First on our list of best camera apps for Android is called Camera MX. When compared to the other apps on the list, it’s pretty run of the mill. When compared to the rest, it’s actually quite good. It doesn’t necessarily have the feature set that a professional might be looking for, but if you’re a hobbyist or you really enjoy sharing pictures via Google+ or Instagram, then Camera MX is more than good enough.

3. Google Camera

Don't knock the Google Camera app just because it comes stock on some devices, as the Google Camera comes with an easy to use layout and some decent shooting modes and photo aids. The app comes with touch to focus, as well as grid overlays, a timer, an HDR setting, as well as photo sphere, panoramic mode, lens blur and video capture. Android Wear support also allows you to control the camera app remotely, allowing you to set up your phone camera for a stable shot, and then step into the frame.

4. Camera Zoom FX ($2.99)

Camera Zoom FX is next on our best camera apps for Android. Unlike Camera MX, and most of the other apps on this list, Camera Zoom FX takes a different approach to using filters and effects. Instead of applying any number of pre-made filters and effects, Camera Zoom FX allows users to choose multiple effects to create their own filter. If you’re feeling a little lazy, there are some pre-made ones to choose from. It’s highly functional and popular. There are also no in app purchases with this one.

5. Camera 360 Ultimate

Camera 360 Ultimate comes loaded with numerous features, filters and shot modes, providing users with numerous quick-fire tools for sprucing up their shots. The basic "Effect Camera" allows you to apply a variety of filters and special effects, with special shooting modes such as a tilt-shift camera, a posterizer with numerous templates, and more providing users with numerous shooting options. Of special note to selfie addicts is a dedicated "Selfie Camera" mode that comes with numerous preset enhancements for bringing out skin tone and visual ambiance to give you exactly the look and feel you want for your next self-portrait.
