The great thing about Android is the vast possibilities when it comes to customization. When you root, you open up even more options for customization. One of those options is changing your boot animation. Why have the same stock boot animation as everyone else? You can find a vast selection of custom boot animations from simple graphic animations to animations that make your phone feel retro or pay homage to another device like a Playstation 2.

Changing Boot Animation on Android with App

We are going to be using an app called Boot Animations that will help us change the boot animation on our Android device easily.

1.  Head over to the Google Play store and install the Boot Animations app on your device.
2.  Launch the app on your device.
3.  When the app launches, tap on the “Server” section if you are not already there. This is where all the boot animations are available for you to install. Just tap on any boot animation on the list.
4. A menu should pop up with a couple of options for you to choose from. Tap the first one that says “Install”. It will install the boot animation on your device.
5.  Sit back and relax, as the app will now automatically download and install the selected boot animation.
6.  When it is done installing it, restart your device to see the changes.

Changing Boot Animation on Android Manually

Well this second method is little bit tricky but will surely help you out if you are not able to customize your boot animation using the above method.

1. Install any free File Manager application, just making a search for Xplore or something else that works best for you.
2. Now navigate to /system/media and search for the original bootanimation.zip file that will be present there.
3. Now just press and hold on the file for little and choose Rename option, now simple rename the file as "bootanimation.zip1"
4. Now you need to copy the downloaded file to /system/media and then you need to make sure that the file name is bootanimation.zip for it to work perfectly.
5. android-file-permissionsNow once again press and hold on this new copied file and choose permissions and then make sure it looks something like on the right.
6. So now after you have check marked the appropriate options simply press OK.
7. That's it now you can reboot your phone and simply restart it again to see the customized animation live.

After the boot animation has been installed, reboot your Android device to enjoy your new boot animation.

Android and Windows are two very different operating systems; programs designed for one won’t normally work on the other. To get around this, you need to set up an Android virtual machine (VM) on your PC. And as a general rule, setting up a VM can be a challenge.

BlueStacks

BlueStacks is currently the best way to run Android apps on Windows. It doesn’t replace your entire operating system. Instead, it runs Android apps within a window on your Windows desktop. This allows you to use Android apps just like any other program. BlueStacks also includes support for easy installation of apps from Google Play, so the process is as seamless as possible. Even better, BlueStacks runs Android apps and games with surprisingly good performance.

This solution can’t replace Windows with Android, but that’s not a bad thing — competing solutions that allow you to dual boot Android with Windows are currently unstable. This is only a solution for running Android apps on Windows.  Unlike many of the other options here, this is a fairly stable and polished experience.

ARC Welder for Chrome

Probably the easiest way to get Android apps running on your Windows PC is to use Google’s ARC Welder Chrome extension (ARC stands for App Runtime for Chrome). Since this is a Chrome extension, it’s not only restricted to Windows PCs — you could also use this method on a Chromebook or Mac. The process is much the same no matter which platform you’re using Chrome on. Simply head to the Chrome Web Store and grab the ARC Welder extension to get everything you need installed.

If you’re not interested in using your smartphone less, don’t sweat it! Often, all it takes is switching on a setting or scheduling a download to cut your monthly mobile data usage by half.

Our first six simple tips to save on mobile data post garnered a ton of helpful reader tips and feedback. So, we’re doing the redux!

Following is a list of popular Android apps that include options to reduce the amount of data sent across a mobile network. We also include a section on Google’s universal toggle for disabling mobile data, so if you’re only interested in one data saving tip today, make it this one!

1. Compress Chrome pages

Assuming you use Chrome for all your web traffic, this tip alone can save you 30-35 percent of your mobile browser data consumption. Compressing Chrome pages, now know as Data Saver in the settings, compresses web pages before loading them in your browser.

Using Data Saver does slow things down a tiny bit, but you quickly get used to it and a moment's delay is worth it when your data lasts so much longer. Just launch Chrome, tap the three dots in the top right hand corner, go down to Settings and then to Data Saver. Keep an eye on the graph every now and then to see your data savings grow.

2. Control the background data usage of your applications.

Many people are often surprised about apps consuming data even when they’re not actively being used. This is known as “background data usage”: it’s when applications download data in the background – often silently and automatically without input.

Background data is a useful feature for keeping information up-to-date without you manually needing to press a button (e.g. a weather application will always have the latest forecast and your phone book will always have the latest contacts).

Although background data is normally a useful feature, it can sometimes be unwanted (e.g. when rarely-used apps update themselves in the background and use up your precious allowance of data). For this reason, it can be highly worthwhile to disable background data for certain applications. On iPhone, you can do this through Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Don’t just boot into recovery and install a custom ROM — your device will have a high chance of getting stuck in a boot loop. You need to first wipe the /data partition, which contains all your installed apps. Find A Good ROM

Unless you are on a geek, and change ROMs just for fun, play with them and just change it again. Then no need. Or if you rarely change your ROM. Then first of all you should make sure that the ROM is completely stable and has no bugs. Or else you would have to change it again. You could find it by reading the developer comments, with the ROM. 4. Temple Run 2

The progenitor of all endless running games gets even better through its sequel. Temple Run 2 is better looking, has stages with more variety, multiple playable characters and more number of obstacles and ways to get around, under and over them. If you're exhausted by the number of endless running games on the Play Store, delete all of them and just keep this one around. After all, it is the best of the lot.

Recently they have added some new cool vehicle like train, bigger monster truck, ambulance and many other which make this game more addicting and adventurous. You will earn coins while you flip, jump and complete the target. You can use that earned coins for buying a new vehicle or unlocking a stages.
